Gollum

Milk snakes are harmless mimetics of the venomous coral snake. Gollum actually belongs to a sub-species indigenous to Honduras. You can tell by the orange middle stripe. In the original milk snakes, the middle stripe is white while coral snakes have a large black middle stripe bordered by two smaller white stripes. They are extremely dangerous.

When we first adopted Gollum three years ago, he was the size of a large earthworm. He is now about 4 ft long and his head is as big as my thumb.

Yesterday I was complaining how hard he was to photograph but I remembered that Buffy & Willow are even worse. One day I'll get a good one and you will see who I'm talking about.
