Muskrats
My mother's house in Sutton lies right next to a pond that is inhabited by a pair of muskrats. I had barely set-up the tripod when one of them started to swim in my direction. In the old days, this one would have ended as a fur coat. Unfortunately the light conditions were terrible (late afternoon and overcast) but the ripples made the shot. At the time I still thought that it was a beaver but he dove to the bottom and I got a glance of its long tail. In the bottom image you can barely make out the happy couple swimming in front of their love nest.
I also got a 1.2 MB Quicktime Movie although I wish that I had kept filming for one more second.
Today is going to be deadly. Up at 5h30, drive 3 hours to Quebec city, "enjoy" a 5 hours meeting and drive back to Montreal. Fun!
