Volcanic burp
While in the village of La Fortuna in Costa Rica, we would occasionnally hear a sound like a far away jet taking off. With the nearest airport was 150 km away, the culprit was usually the nearby, and very active, Arenal volcano.
In the two years since our visit, the volcano has erupted twice including a significant event last Tuesday.
