Back home
I finally dragged myself home at half past midnight after 20.5 hours of travel. The layover in Frankfurt turned out to be a desperate search for a power outlet on which to recharge my iPod. One of the many little things that make airplane travel such a nuisance these days.
Of course Air Canada and the Toronto Airport had to leave their mark, the transatlantic flight came in only 15 min late but, according to them, that was enough of a justification to bump me from the 9 pm to the 10:30 flight. I guess I must be grateful for my seat in the last row since it was obvious that this flight had been massively overbooked.
This last leg was also a first, the first time I ever fell asleep in a plane. I turned on my iPod right after takeoff and the next thing that I remember was the stewardess tapping me on the shoulder 5 min prior to landing.
