Mahie Point
We spent the morning on Waimea Beach, which is internationally famous as the home of some of the biggest surfing waves in the world. But that's in Winter; during the Summer it's a pussy cat with mild waves, nice snorkeling and a large pod of Spinner Dolphins moving around the swimmers.
We were planning to spend the afternoon looking out the "Lost" beaches on the North West corner but there was a problem with the road and we decided to go in the other direction and check out the Windward (Eastern) side. The mountains and jungles were gorgeous but we'll have to return some other day since the sun was on the wrong side.
Nevertheless, we did get to sample the best shrimps we've ever had.
