Hiking to Ka'ena Point
If it looks hot and dry on this picture that's because it was. We drove to the end of Farrington Hwy and then hiked the remaining 4.3 km to the tip of Ka'ena Point, at the westernmost tip of Oahu.
Getting there was relatively easy but the midday sun made the return trip more difficult. Fortunately we found a small cove that was safe enough for swimming and, just as we were starting to worry about running out of water (even though we started off with 5 liters), two pairs of US Marines on permission gave us a ride in their Jeeps.
If often pays to hike with gorgeous young women.
