Jumping in Waimea Bay
At the rate we're going, we'll need all of our second week to recuperate from the first. We drove down on the Windward side to Honolulu, hiked up Diamond Head crater, spent the afternoon shopping and even made a little detour through the Punchbowl and the Pali lookout. All of these outings produced great images but they will have to wait.
We returned to Waimea Beach at the end of the day where a huge rock on the left side makes an excellent diving platform. The wife of one of the jumpers was taking pictures next to me and I suggested that she ask her family members to try to make their death-defying jumps look "cooler". This was the result, an absolutely perfect shot. Even the position of the jumper in relation to the clouds could not have been better.
And for the record, I have not jumped off the rock quite yet. We're saving that one for a special occasion.
