St-Peters basilica HDR

Not quite home yet

We’re finally back in Canada but not quite home yet. As many of you know, the Northeast was hit with yet another snowstorm and yesterdays may have the worst one yet. Consequently, our flight from Rome via Amsterdam was diverted to Toronto where KLM was nice enough to set-us up at the Metropolitan Hotel. Nevertheless it was quite a grueling return, peppered with extermely long delays. Delay will also be the name of the game today, we have to leave the hotel by 1 PM but our return flight is only scheduled for 6h45 PM.

But at least I get some internet access. Slow and sucky internet access but certainly good enough to send you a first image from Rome. After a successful landing in no visibility, I think that some religious imagery might be in order. This is an HDR image from the absolutely gorgeous St-Peters Basilica. We got to see a lot of the Vatican since we had to walk across St-Peters Piazza to go anywhere in Rome. The sites around this city certainly didn’t dissapoint.
