A 2000 year old fountain
Located in a cave at the base of Palatine Hill (home of the emperor's palace), this fountain was "protected" by an iron fence and thus extremely difficult to photograph properly. I had to use my f1.4 50 mm lens which necessitated the creation of a mosaic from 5 individual images.
You can really tell from the accumulated carbonates that it's been here for a very very long time.
