Pustulous wood
This is a close-up of large branch, which had fallen off an equally-affected tree. It was covered with these strange pustules that felt soft, almost like cardboard.
Christiane and I have been putting in as much hiking time as we can. Hiking during Spring is so much more enjoyable; the weather is not too warm, there are a lot of flowers and more variety in the various shades of green. Most importantly, the mosquitos and black flies aren't here yet.
We are also training, testing equipment configurations and making sure that our daughters boots are well broken in (which is quite a challenge). In a little more than a month, we'll be in the Costa Rican jungle.
Next on the list is to find 16 guest bloggers for the first half of July.
