Looking back on 2006
Another year has come and gone, has it been a good one?
I have returned to Croatia and the North Carolina Outer Banks. I have also travelled to Colorado, Montana and Vancouver.
Nevertheless, I'm still having bad luck when it comes to air travel: Example #1, example #2 and example #3.
I beat my record for the longest continuous drive, 1500 km in a little more than 17.5 hours, as we returned from North Carolina to Montreal in a single run.
I wrote 139 entries for Metroblogging Montreal, including our first major crisis.
I have sold 3723 images though various microstock agencies. Individually that's not worth much, but put together...
In addition, two of my images may soon appear in a Will Ferrell movie.
Scientifically, this has been the most productive year of my career with the publications of 4 scientific papers, 2 book chapters and an invited review. Next year is looking good as well with the publication of 2 recently accepted papers while 3 more are currently under review.
My father in law has successfully fought off metastatic colon cancer.
Finally, I was interviewed for Radio-Canada: Zone Libre, TWiT: Futures in Biotech and Radio Centre-Ville.
