For lack of a comma
Here is today's lesson on the usefulness of e-mail as a mode of communication. I am currently writing a research grant application and needed to collect a series of signatures from McGill University. The first is from my department chairman. Earlier I had informed his that I would cove over and I then inquired about the time.

To me that meant don't be late, so I came in early. Unfortunately he meant to write "No, later" since he had a lunch between 12h30 and 2h30. Of course I waited for almost an hour before realizing what probably happened.
