Waiting for the storm to pass
Yesterday, Montreal had its worst ice storm since the big one of 1998 and the power went out at about 5 PM as we were struggling to get home. Fortunately the lessons from 6 years ago have been well learned, the electricity briefly returned a few seconds after I took this image but it only lasted for 10 minutes. It returned for good sometime during the night.
I was hoping to get up early to take pictures of my ice-encrusted city. Unfortunately Mother Nature had other plans, right now the ice is being shaken loose by 70 km/h winds. I just hope the power holds.
