Behind the green door

Same old building as this one.

In a comment yesterday, Robert asked me what I usually bring on my hikes. For short hikes, my minimal set-up includes my FinePix S5000 camera with a circular polarizing filter, a light Velbon CX540 tripod, an Optex LensPen, an extra set of batteries and a water bottle on a belt carrier.

I have found that having the camera attached to the tripod and the legs extended mid-way produces the perfect distribution of weight and length for me to carry the whole thing under my arm. Alternatively, I'll have the camera around my neck and the tripod dangling like a sword on my bottle holder.
