It's frozen water after all
An interesting scene on Quebec City's Plains of Abraham. A group of young women practiced pushing their longboat across icy fields in preparation for the crossing of the St-Laurence River during the Carnaval.
Talk about lucky timing, my Grand Vitara sprung a major oil leak just before the holiday weekend and my regular mechanic told me that this will be a major job best left for the dealership. You don't want to know how many phone calls I had to make to find a rental. Since she turned 7 last October, we've had to buy new winter tires, replace the muffler, and fix squeaky front wipers, a faulty 4X4 gear shift and a jammed rear door. If this continues, we'll be shopping for a new car pretty soon.
