Clearcutting
You don't expect to see such absolute devastation in a nature reserve. According to the fishing warden, two years ago a huge wind storm, possibly a tornado, brought down most of the trees in this valley. Last year they decided to bring in the loggers.
The pictures don't really do it justice, it was a breathtaking sight.
