DA Top Ten

Digital Apoptosis has now been around for 3 months and I must admit that I'm enjoying this much more than anticipated. In honor of its 0.25 anniversary, I have decided to start a trimestrial tradition by posting my ten favorite/most popular entries. Just click on the thumbnails to get to the larger Image.

#1 A flock of Gaviotas: Choosing my top picture was easy, both as a personal favorite and by the number of comments received. The funny thing is that I have two more like that since I used the continuous shooting option.

austin bats
#2 Let there be bats: Separating the next two was a lot harder. This one made me really happy that I decided to buy a camera with a 10x optical zoom

#3 Living in a shell: My second most-commented entry. If your camera has a filter adapter, get a polarizer. If not, get a new camera.

Sugar Beach
#4 Sunset at Sugar Beach: I love the oil-like reflections on the water. This one hasn't been seen by many of my current readers since it was my very first entry and my first picture to be selected by MacDesktops. This is when I realized that it might be fun to do a photoblog.

montreal en lumiere
#5 Montreal en lumiere (5): If if wasn't for the need to feed the photoblog, I probably would have stayed home on this cold and humid evening...and would have missed some of the most amazing images I ever captured.

#6 Concourse C: Once again, hauling my camera around has made an extended delay in a well known airport much more enjoyable.

Costa Rica jungle
#7 Alive: A scene right out of Jurassic Park.

Mtl18.jpg
#8 Montreal en lumiere (18): So many reflexions makes this image a psychedelic dream. If you look carefully, you can actually see the reflexion of my hat.

austin5.jpg
#9 Austin in heavy metal: How to get a Photoshop effect without Photoshop. It also has a certain post-apocalyptic feel.

harbor seal
#10 That's not a rock!: An unexpected surprise on a foggy morning in Gouchester.

Things to look forward to in the next trimester: Montreal's many summer festivals, the Carolina Outer Banks and (drool) Dubrovnik. Maybe even Amsterdam if I can swing it during a 5 hrs layover. I'll sleep when I'm dead or on my way to Croatia.
