We received a new batch of images yesterday, including the most impressive one to date; an aerial view of the partially-destroyed presidential palace with many of the surrounding parks covered by homemade tents.
My brother-in-law is a Canadian Army engineer with the Royal 22e Régiment and he is currently on a support and reconstruction mission in Haiti (Operation Hestia). He has recently sent us some amazing images of the area and graciously allowed me to share them with you.

Taken on Leogane Beach (code name Vimy Beach) as Canadian soldiers came ashore using assault boats that were reminiscent of D-day. Looks like the locals were not impressed.
